Meet the Duchess
Our Story
The name Duchess is more than a title, it’s a reflection of spirit. Born from Chef Casey Thompson’s vision, it’s a tribute to strength, femininity, and the untamed beauty of her Texas roots. Inspired by the bold textures of the historic firehouse and the masculine edge of @thenoblemanhotel, she imagined a counterpoint: a presence both fierce and graceful. Think windswept hair, boots on the ground, and elegance that doesn’t ask permission.
It’s a name that honors her path as a woman in the culinary world and salutes every woman who’s ever led from the kitchen.
To bring that vision to life visually, Chef Casey partnered with Chris Coleman, a self-taught artist and former touring musician whose work pulses with soul and story. From his Florida studio, Chris channeled the duality of Duchess into a singular piece of art: raw yet refined, grounded yet free.
What began as a conversation became a visual anthem—an emblem of fire, grace, and the spirit that lives at the heart of Duchess.

Rooted in Fire, Elevated by Flavor Duchess began as a vision transforming a historic Fort Worth firehouse into a vibrant culinary destination. At the heart of our kitchen: open flame, bold technique, and ingredients that pay homage to Texas traditions.
We source from nearby ranches and farms, celebrating local artisans and seasonal bounty. Our menus aren’t just meals, they’re a curated journey through Fort Worth’s past, present, and palate. This is a place where stories are served, moments are savored, and the next chapter of Texas dining is being written.
