Chef Casey Thompson is a celebrated American chef and restaurateur known for her bold, produce-driven cuisine and dynamic presence in kitchens across the country. A native of Dallas, Texas, Casey began her culinary journey at the Mansion on Turtle Creek under the legendary Dean Fearing, rising from prep cook to sous chef through grit and passion.

Her career spans acclaimed restaurants including Shinsei in Dallas, Brownstone in Fort Worth, Aveline in San Francisco, and most recently, Folktable in Sonoma, where she earned multiple Michelin Bib Gourmand honors. Her cooking blends Southern roots with French technique, always guided by seasonality, sustainability, and a reverence for local ingredients.

A three-time Top Chef alum and fan favorite, Casey brings both star power and substance to every project. At Duchess, she serves as Consulting Chef, shaping a menu and atmosphere that reflect her signature style: soulful, elegant, and deeply connected to the land.
